A Chicago law forbids eating in a place that is on fire.

What hypocrites we Chicagoans are ! Banning the eating of food in a place that is on fire ? First of all, this city was born of fire - or re-born, anyway. That collection of buildings pre-1871 is no longer remembered thanks to people like Daniel Burnham, who helped re-map the streets, create greenspace, and design new buildings. All possible because of FIRE. Also, we boast of a few first-class restaurants that have "fire" in their name. Wildfire, The Fireplace Inn, The Fireside Restaurant and Lounge, The Firehouse, and there is another called Firefly, which I will assume is good because it is located in the gay district of the city. Yeah, I'm stereotyping, but face it - More often than not, gay neighborhoods contain great restaurants. ;>)
So to heck with that law - I salute our history of fire and great eating.
